Lauder realigns brands and adds new management positions

The Estée Lauder Companies has announced that it is changing its organisational design, effective 1 January 2013. Specifically, the company will expand its number of group presidents from two to four, adding two new senior positions to top management. The company will also realign its brands to leverage additional innovations and strategic synergies.

Thea Breen has been appointed to the new position of group president North America and will oversee both the US and Canadian affiliates. Lynne Green will continue to oversee the Clinique, Ojon and Origins brands in her newly defined role of group president but will now also be responsible for the Aveda and Darphin brands. Green will also join the company’s Investment and Development Committee to help guide global M&A strategy. Both new group presidents will report to Lauder president and ceo Fabrizio Freda.

In addition, the company is announcing the realignment of several global brand positions and increased responsibilities of other leaders.
