Yriel acquires La Mesta

Fine chemicals supplier Yriel Group has acquired La Mesta Chimie Fine, a developer and manufacturer of intermediates, active pharmaceutical ingredients, and materials for the flavour and fragrances, cosmetics and imaging markets.

Located in Gilette, in the south of France, La Mesta has a turnover of around €15m and employs 70 people.

According to Yriel, the merge will allow for the creation of interesting commercial and industrial synergies. La Mesta will continue to focus on its core activities of process intensification and continuous chemistry with the support and experience of the other entities of the Yriel Group: essential oils specialist Elixens; and pharmaceutical laboratory Laboratoires Davioud.
