AkzoNobel Surface Chemistry is relocating its Personal Care activities from Sempach, Switzerland, to its regional headquarters in Stenungsund, Sweden.
The team will be integrated into the larger applications and technical service organisation in Sweden, enabling cross-fertilisation in innovation, synergies and critical mass, according to Johan Landfors, VP and General Manager of Surface Chemistry in EMEA. “The transfer of the customer service desk will support our efforts to increase our responsiveness and improve supply chain performance,” he added.
The technical service and customer service departments will move during the fourth quarter of 2014. Full integration into the existing organisation in Stenungsund is expected by 31 December.
