Womanmagazine today announced the full list of winners in its inaugural beauty awards - theWomanHot 100 Beauty with Confidence Awards - to celebrate the best hair and beauty products the industry has to offer.
Womanworked with expert judges, including celebrity and Royal hairdresser Richard Ward; Strictly Come Dancing judge, Darcey Bussell; Julia Carta, the chief make-up artist on the X-Factor, and top beauty buyers from M&S, Debenhams, Boots and Superdrug.
Over 5,000 reader votes were cast throughout 2013 to identify their favourite beauty must-haves. From these votesWomanwas able to identify 24 hero products in four beauty categories – skincare, body care, hair and make-up – along with an inspirational celebrity within each category. Avon Anew Clinical Pro-Line Corrector Eye Treatment topped the skincare category, with Jergens Original Beauty Lotion Cherry-Almond taking the top body care spot. Clinique Repair Wear Laser Focus all-Smooth Make-Up took the top spot in the make-up category, and the hair hero was Aussie Aussome Volume shampoo and conditioner.
In addition to selecting their favourite products, readers were also surveyed about their beauty regimes. 75% ofWomanreaders consider anti-ageing products an important part of their daily beauty routine and moisturiser was highlighted as the one product they couldn’t live without. Most readers felt most confident about their face and least confident about their tummies, and while 82% colour their hair, 70% visit the hairdressers every four months or less.
