Procter & Gamble’s supervisory board has appointed Isabel Hochgesand (aged 43) as General Manager Supply Chain Management (Customer Service and Logistics). Ms. Hochgesand is now in charge of Procter & Gamble’s logistics in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, for Procter & Gamble Service GmbH as well as for Procter & Gamble Manufacturing GmbH.
Ms. Hochgesand had taken charge of the Supply Network Operations division for Germany, Austria and Switzerland at the beginning of 2013. She has been working with P&G for more than 20 years and has extensive experience in purchasing and supply chain management, the company announced. Most recently, she had been managing global purchasing of all raw materials required for Pampers, Always and Bounty/Charmin in P&Gs Cincinnati headquarters.
By appointing Isabel Hochgesand as General Manager, P&G is further increasing the number of women in management. Women account for 43 % of managers worldwide. Over the last 10 years, P&G has increased the percentage of women in presidential positions and above by 50 %. “Furthermore, more than 43 % of all managers we recruited over the last five years were women. Women now account for more than 39 % of P&Gs global staff,“ the company announced.
