Unipex subsidiary Lucas Meyer Cosmetics is once again on the acquisition trail, having announced it is to acquire Biopharmacopae Design International’s cosmetics ingredient portfolio from Avrio Ventures. The supplier’s portfolio will consolidate Lucas Meyer’s position in the botanical segment, according to the company.
It is the second acquisition in the botanical sector for Lucas Meyer, which bought Australian ingredients specialist, Southern Cross Botanical in April of this year.
"This new acquisition consolidates our position and expertise in the field of natural ingredients,” said Antonio Lara, Lucas Meyer Vice President and General Manager.
