PZ Cussons has posted revenue and profit growth in the year to 31 May. According to the company, growth has been achieved in all three regions of Europe, Asia and Africa.
In Europe, the beauty division remains strong, driven by new product launches and expansion into new distribution channels, as well as entry into new overseas markets such as Poland, Germany and Canada.
Meanwhile, the Australian business has returned to profitability following the successful restructuring of the business last year, while growth in Asia was driven by Indonesia, which delivered another year of double digit revenue growth. Finally, Africa, traditionally a strong market for the company, continues to be impacted by political unrest in Nigeria. Performance in the smaller territories of Ghana and Kenya, however, has been in line with expectations.
