The upcoming editions of the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit will focus on green formulations and sustainable packaging, according to organiser Organic Monitor. While sustainability has come to the fore, Organic Monitor argues that few cosmetics and ingredients companies have taken significant steps to reduce their environmental impact.
The fifth European edition, which takes place in Paris on 21-23 October, will look at ways of reducing the environmental footprint by the use of green formulations and sustainable packaging. Comprising four seminars and two interactive workshops, topics on the summit agenda include sustainability initiatives, covering water footprint measurement, carbon management case studies and sustainability metrics; emerging green ingredients and sustainable processing techniques; retailer’s perspectives; marketing and distribution challenges; and eco-design and novel packaging materials.
The upcoming Latin American edition will take place in São Paulo on 18-20 September, while the Asia-Pacific one will take place in Hong Kong on 11-13 November.
