Clariant has launched a new polymer, Aristoflex Velvet, for luxurious skin care formulations. Its soft, velvety texture is claimed to answer the trend towards luxury in personal care applications. The polymer purports to moisturise and cleanse beyond pure functionality to create a luxurious, lasting experience, as its innovative composition means it does not immediately break on skin when applied but gently melts on application.
Aristoflex Velvet may be used in creams lotions, balms, milks and serums, and its broad usage spectrum makes it compatible with a range of preservatives. It also has a high compatibility with organic solvents, allowing for use in hand sanitisers and nail polish removers.
