Renewable chemicals company BioAmber Inc. has partnered with Brenntag to distribute BioAmber’s bio-based succinic acid and derivatives in the Americas.
BioAmber currently supplies its commercial Bio-SA product line, which includes bio 1,4-butanediol, to the region from its facility in France, but is expanding its capacity in the Americas with a new plant in Sarnia, Canada, which is due to begin operations in 2014. It is believed the partnership will help accelerate the commercial development of BioAmber’s Bio-SA in North America and other markets.
