Psy girls’ make-up style a hit

POP sensation Psy’s Gangnam Style video has sent demand for South Korean cosmetics rocketing — as girls try to look like the rapper’s dancers.

Sales of Korean-made Beauty Balm have doubled since July — and Psy fans are snapping up one tube of the cream every minute in the UK.

The lotion is said to moisturise, protect users from the sun and cover up blemishes.

Psy’s video recently became the first to have more than a billion views on YouTube.

Nicola Wing, senior cosmetics buyer at Superdrug, said: “2012 has been all about BB — and Psy dancing his way into our lives with Gangnam Style has intensified our love of all things Eastern.”
