A Scarborough beautician is to appear in court again next month facing 13 charges for alleged unqualified use of the anti-ageing drug Botox.

Jamie Winter, 34, is accused of injecting Botox into clients, mainly from Scarborough, charging from £180 to £360 a time.

Winter, a brunette, first appeared at court in September wearing a Lady Gaga-style blonde wig.

But she sported a winter-warmer look with sunglasses when she appeared at Hull Magistrates’ Court after being charged by police following interviews with men and women to whom she has allegedly administered the cosmetic drug.

Winter, of Westbourne Road, Scarborough, was arrested in May and charged with fraud by false representation by claiming to be a person qualified and authorised to administer the drug, which is only available on prescription.

She wore a figure-hugging purple A-line coat, matching headscarf and carried a huge black leather handbag. She wore contrasting grey mitts
in the -1 icy temperatures and walked in alone

Winter stood at the back of the court as she confirmed her name and her new address as Brunswick Mews, Leeds, but left the talking to her solicitor Richard Drew.

She is charged with a further 13 offences of fraud by false representation to 12 named men and women over a 14-month period.

She is accused of claiming to be qualified to administer Botox with a view to make a gain.

Solicitor Richard Drew confirmed she had not entered pleas to the charges at this stage and asked for the case to be committed to the Crown Court.

Chairman of the Magistrates’ Allan Stather ordered Winter to stand as he told her: “We are not prepared to take jurisdiction so it will be committed to the Crown Court.”

She walked free from court into bright winter sunshine, after again donning her sunglasses, accompanied by her solicitor.

She will next appear at Hull Magistrates court on January 30th.
