Oxiteno has announced that it has acquired 100% of the shares of the Uruguayan surfactants and specialty chemicals company, American Chemical ICSA.
The acquisition will enhance Oxiteno’s logistics efficiency to meet local demand as American Chemical has an industrial site close to the Montevideo port, which manufactures anionic surfactants for the personal care industry, among others.
It is hoped the acquisition will aid Oxiteno with its internationalisation goals, strengthening its position in the surfactants and specialty chemicals market in the Americas.
