Macadamia Natural Oil and Star Avenue Capital announce partn

Growth equity firm Star Avenue Capital has invested in Macadamia Natural Oil, a US based premium, professional hair care brand. Star Avenue – a joint venture involving Irving Place Capital (IPC) and entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA) – says it will work with Macadamia’s ceo and founder John Fasan to support the company’s growth and help build the brand globally.

“Star Avenue shares our vision for the Macadamia brand and brings unique resources, capabilities and insight that would otherwise not be available to the company,” commented Fasan. “Star Avenue has access to CAA’s extensive network of relationships and resources, as well as the agency’s unique insight into popular culture and to IPC’s relevant investment experience in consumer and retail sectors, which are valuable assets for high growth consumer brands such as Macadamia.”

Founded three years ago, the Macadamia brand uses ingredients including macadamia and argan oils to heal, revitalise and control problem hair. Its first product, Healing Oil Treatment, is said to straighten and smooth hair.
