Ashland Specialty Ingredients, a commercial unit of Ashland Inc, has announced the launch of its Color Essentials programme, created to support the development of premium cosmetic formulations that break new ground. According to the company, as part of the programme, Ashland’s global R&D network conducted extensive research and concept development to create 11 sample formulations including a long-lasting waterproof mascara using Ashland’s Ganex polymer and a foundation containing its Escalol UV filters, which is said to offer superb coverage while protecting skin from UV radiation.
Commenting on the programme, Sarah Thiewes, Ashland Specialty Ingredients’ global marketing launch leader, skin care and sun care, said: “From UV protection and ease of use to wear resistance, a range of benefits are required to fulfil consumer expectations.
