Murad moves into makeup

Skin specialist Murad is expanding into colour with Murad Hybrids, described as ‘skin perfecting cosmetics to disguise flaws with high-performance treatments specifically formulated to improve skin’s health’.
The initial offer comprises two primers and two eye treatments, boasting high concentrations of antioxidants, hydrators, anti-inflammatories, botanicals/fruit extracts, vitamins, minerals and amino acids.
Skin Perfecting Primer is available with a matte or dewy finish to suit all skin tones thanks to Murad’s Adaptive Shade Technology, a micro-dynamic mineral layering technology said to adapt to the characteristics of all skins.
Another proprietary technology, Pore Factor-5, is said to tighten dilated pores, add luminosity while smoothing fine lines and wrinkles, normalise oil production and help control bacterial proliferation, soothe and reduce inflammation, and protect against UV induced free radicals to preserve and improve elasticity, firmness and tone.
The two eye products are Eye Lift Illuminator and Eye Lift Perfector, featuring antimicrobial applicator tips. The violet Illuminator formula is designed to brighten the eye area while the Perfector is a natural tint formula to even texture and tone. Both are said to increase skin firmness by 50% in 15 minutes, hydrating, depuffing and minimising dark circles to restore a youthful look to the area. As with the primers, the eye products contain proprietary Murad technologies.
Foundations are expected to follow next year.
Also new from Murad is Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture, an addition to the Age Reform line but suitable for use across all Murad anti-ageing lines to improve hydration levels. A Collagen Support Complex is said to boost resilience and plump dehydrated skin while retinyl palmitate and shea butter are used to improve texture and tone while restoring smoothness and softness. Avocado, sunflower and olive fruit oils are used to enhance the skin’s ability to retain maximum hydration levels.
