Sensient Technologies Corporation has announced it is to acquire its joint venture partners’ interest in colour cosmetic and ingredients company Les Colorants Wackherr do Brasil. The agreement which is expected to be completed by the end of the year will give Sensient full ownership of the Brazilian company which supplies ingredients for a number of colour applications including nail polish, make-up and skin care products.

The acquisition of the Sao Paolo company also gives Sensient a strengthened presence in South America and its growing consumer base.
