Christian Louboutin, the Parisian designer famed for his red-soled shoes, will be stepping into the beauty industry next year.

Having partnered with New York based beauty brand Batallure Beauty, Louboutin will launch a luxury collection in late 2013 under Christian Louboutin Beauté. He told WWD.com: “Beauty products also have to do with empowering women. That’s very much the job of the shoes I’m designing. It has to mirror the quality of the shoes, of the bags, of all the DNA of the brand.”
