At In-Cosmetics in Barcelona, Cosmetochem International AG will introduce an anti-aging compound that combines vitamin C with pomegranate flower extract to boost collagen production and inhibit the breakdown of collagen, respectively.
The pomegranate flower extract in Colla-Gain (INCI: Maltodextrin(and) Alcohol (and) Punica Granatum Flower Extract (and) Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate) inhibits MMP-1 production to prevent collagen breakdown. In addition to the above actions, the active was shown to smooth skin, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and protect skin against UV exposure. The active does not contain solvents or preservatives.
