New test laboratory of Quadpack Group

“Quadpack, international provider of packaging solutions for the cosmetic industry, is pleased to present its new test laboratory at its headquarters in Barcelona, Spain”, announced the company. Operating for the whole group, the extensive facilities have a complete spectrum of testing equipment to consistently ensure Quadpack’s high quality standards.

“Quality control is usually the responsibility of the manufacturer,” explains Javier Navia, technical manager of the Quadpack Group. “Our customers know of course that we demand the highest standards from our manufacturing partners, but our new lab provides an additional degree of quality assurance which other companies don’t offer as a rule.”

In compliance with Quadpacks requirements, the new laboratory is fitted with high-tech equipment to conduct tests concerning the preservability of formulas, dimension evaluation, weight loss, dosage accuracy, torque, leakage, colour matching and many more. “All packaging which we get our hands on is submitted to stringent tests. Only products which have undergone each one of these tests will be certified “Quadpack approved”, says Andrés Piera, packaging engineer and head of the laboratory.

The lab tests new products and production samples as a standard feature. In addition, Quadpack clients are able to test the products before they are sold. This is particularly useful when analysing product compatibility and performance and can be integrated into the cycle of development.
