Spirit uncovers an ancient Japanese beauty secret

Spirit, a Quadpack Group company, has introduced a great new promotional item for cosmetics companies. The Konjac Sponge is an all-natural product that cleanses and moisturises skin with or without soap. Already known in Japan for its health-giving properties, it addresses today’s consumer preference for organic products. Konjac is made completely of vegetable fibres and is 100% biodegradable and free from colourings, additives and preservatives.

The beauty of the sponge is its simplicity. With a natural pH balance, the Konjac Sponge is suitable for sensitive skin types. Its unique texture makes it perfect for exfoliating the skin, making it feel clean and soft, without need for cleansers.

The Konjac sponge is available in numerous sizes and shapes to suit the customer’s own preference. It comes packaged in a heat-sealed poly bag, with product information and instructions for use. Spirit can also customise the packaging to clients’ own specifications.

Spirit will be marketing the sponge in Europe to cosmetics companies, spas, beauty centres, body care retailers and high-street chemists, both for retail and as a gift with purchase.

Amorphophallus Konjac is a perennial plant native to Asia. Its root has been used in Japan in food and medicines for centuries. The sponge, however, cannot be eaten.
