The cosmetics company Straub Cosmetics, located in Wertheim/Germany, has acquired the trade mark rights for the well-known brand Marbert.
As CosmeticBusiness reported the Marbert Holding AG was forced to make application for insolvency on May 2011, 18.
Distribution of the brand still stays with Beauty Brands International (BBI)from Baden-Baden. Besides Marbert the portfolio of BBI includes brands like Alessandro, Bogner, GGL, Piz Buin and Strenesse.
About Marbert
In 1936 the beautician Margarethe Sendler and the physician Bertha Roeber founded the cosmetics compay in Dusseldorf, Germany. The brand name Marbert was build with the beginnings of both first names. Already in the 1950´s Marbert was one oft he most popular brands in Germany. Chemical company Hoechst bought Marbert in 1968, then.
The Marbert group of companies comprised the 70-year old cosmetics specialist Marbert Holding AG and Marbert Cosmetics GmbH as well as Beauty Brands International (BBI).
