According to Messe Nurermberg, Germany, organiser of the trade shows BioFach and Vivaness, a current study by kline & Company forecasts excellent prospects for natural cosmetics in Asia, Europe and the USA until 2014. The Asian markets will achieve two-figure growth rates and a volume of 14.8 billion US dollars.
Sales of over 6.3 billion US dollars are forecast for Europe in the next five years and 5.8 billion US dollars for the USA. Evidence of the stability of the natural cosmetics sector in the crisis is also provided by the growth achieved in 2009 – 13% in Asia, 9% in Europe and 8% in the USA (Study: Kline Global Natural Care Market Report).
Germany: trend-setter for natural beauty care
An impressive number of natural cosmetics brands known throughout the world and valued by Hollywood stars have been set up in Germany. Many a success story began here. More customers also decided in favour of natural cosmetics in 2010. Sales of natural cosmetics in Germany grew by 11% to 795 million EUR, 78 million EUR more than the year before.
